  1.     Modify Remote File Distribution Job
  2.  
  3.     This window allows you to modify a remote file distribution job.
  4.     the window contains the following fields.
  5.  
  6.     Job name
  7.  
  8.     This read-only field specifies the name of the remote file distribution 
  9.     job.
  10.  
  11.     Description
  12.  
  13.     Use this field to give a brief description of the job. This is used
  14.     along with the name to help identify jobs in the status logs.
  15.  
  16.  
  17.     Install to Hosts
  18.  
  19.     You can use this field to limit which hosts will be accessed during
  20.     the job. Leave a blank space between host names for multiple
  21.     entries. You can also click on the arrow button to the right to pop
  22.     up a pick list of all hosts in the current pool with the selected
  23.     O/S type(s) and make your selection(s) from there.
  24.  
  25.     Target Directory
  26.  
  27.     Use this field to specify the name of the directory where the files
  28.     should be copied.
  29.  
  30.     Windows style paths may also be entered, e.g. c:\users\charlie.
  31.     However, this path will be converted to //c/users/charlie on any
  32.     UNIX platform that is in the current hostnames selection field or
  33.     in the current pool. This can be changed by entering two paths.
  34.     The following examples show valid entries:
  35.  
  36.             c:\users\charlie|/home/charlie
  37.             /home/charlie|c:\users\charlie
  38.             /home/charlie|\users\charlie
  39.  
  40.     The symbol '|' is the pathname delimiter. Only one can occur in the
  41.     field. Each individual pathname must not contain both '/' and '\'. 
  42.     A zero length pathname is an error condtion.

  44.     Min. Disk
  45.  
  46.     You can use this field to define the minimum amount of free disk
  47.     space the partition containing the target directory must have before
  48.     this remote file distribution job will execute. You can specify the
  49.     units in bytes or Kbytes.

  51.     Pre-Install Script
  52.  
  53.     You can use this field to specify any scripts or programs which
  54.     should be executed on the destination hosts before transferring the
  55.     files. Enter the full pathname to the script and, optionally, an
  56.     input data file name. Multiple scripts should be separated by
  57.     semi-colons. This is not supported on NT.
  58.  
  59.     Directory
  60.  
  61.     You can use this field to specify the directory where the
  62.     Pre-Install Script will be put and then run.
  63.  
  64.     Post-Install Script
  65.  
  66.     You can use this field to specify any scripts or programs which
  67.     should be executed on the destination hosts after the files are
  68.     transferred. Enter the full pathname to the script and, optionally,
  69.     an input data file name. Multiple scripts should be separated by
  70.     semi-colons. This is not supported on NT.

  72.     Directory
  73.  
  74.     You can use this field to specify the directory where the
  75.     Post-Install Script will be put and then run.

  78.     Source Directory
  79.  
  80.     You can use this field to specify the directory where this job will
  81.     be started on the local host.

  83.     Number of Retries
  84.  
  85.     Use this field to choose how many times a remote copy to a given
  86.     host should be attempted before the copy operation fails. This can
  87.     be 0 (the default) through 5 times.

  89.     Rollback on
  90.  
  91.     You can use this toggle to select if the copied files should be
  92.     removed (or not) from the receiving hosts when an error occurs
  93.     during the remote copy process. The choices are to remove the copied
  94.     files from:
  95.  
  96.     + Ignore Errors (the default; no copied files are removed)
  97.     + Failed Hosts Only (remove copies from failed hosts only)
  98.     + All Hosts (if one host fails, remove copies from all hosts)
  99.  
  100.     Overwrite Files
  101.  
  102.     Use this toggle to specify if existing files in the destination
  103.     directory should be overwritten by the new files being copied AND if
  104.     new directories should be created as needed during the distribution
  105.     job. The default is Yes.
  106.  
  107.     Use Relay Host
  108.  
  109.     Use this toggle to specify if this distribution of files should be
  110.     broadcast to any Relay Hosts for distribution to hosts on other
  111.     sub-nets. The default is No.
  112.  
  113.     If you set this to Yes, you should also specify the Broadcast Relay
  114.     Hosts in the Session Preferences window. See "CONFIGURE" on page 2-1
  115.     for more details.

  117.     Distribution Files
  118.  
  119.     This field is an editable scrolled list. You can click in this list
  120.     once to activate it and then type in the full pathname of the files
  121.     you want to be copied to other hosts.

  124.     Time of RFD Job
  125.  
  126.     You can use this field, along with the Schedule Type field, to
  127.     schedule when a file distribution should be executed. See "TIME
  128.     FORMATS" on page C-1 for details on specifying this value.

  130.     Schedule Type
  131.  
  132.     Use this toggle to specify how and when the file distribution will
  133.     occur. The choices are:
  134.  
  135.     + Weekly When you click on this option, the days of the week will be
  136.       displayed. Select the days of the week the file distribution should
  137.       occur. The Time of RFD job field should contain the time of day the
  138.       file distribution will occur.
  139.  
  140.     + Manual This is the default setting. You can run this type of job
  141.       by clicking on the Execute Now button.
  142.  
  143.     + Monthly When you click on this option, the days of the month will
  144.       be displayed. Select the days of the month the file distribution
  145.       should occur. The Time of RFD job field should contain the time of
  146.       day the file distribution will occur.
  147.  
  148.     + One time Use this option to specify in the Time of RFD job field a
  149.       one-time date and time to run the file distribution. See "TIME
  150.       FORMATS" on page C-1 for details on specifying this value.

  152.     Buttons
  153.  
  154.     This window contains the following buttons:

  156.     Modify
  157.  
  158.     Click on this button to save the file distribution process.
  159.  
  160.     If you didn't enter the Target Directory and Distribution Files
  161.     information, Enlighten will prompt you to supply the missing
  162.     information. If any of the Distribution Files do not exist,
  163.     Enlighten will popup an error box informing you which files could
  164.     not be found and the remote distribution will stop. Otherwise, a
  165.     status window will popup to show the progress of the remote file
  166.     distribution.

  168.     Clear Fields
  169.  
  170.     Click on this button to clear the existing choices in all fields.
  171.  
  172.     Execute Now
  173.  
  174.     Click on this button to execute the file distribution job
  175.     immediately without having to save it or schedule it.

  179.     You can use the Next button to modify additional remote
  180.     distribution jobs if you've selected more than one to modify from
  181.     the Remote File Distribution Configuration list.

  184.  
  185.     Click on this button to discard any changes and close the window.
